Living for His glory...

"For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." -- 1 Corinthians 6:20

2008 has been such a wonderful adventure so far, and we can't wait to see what else the Lord has in store. For the first time in her life, Joy celebrated her birthday in a foreign country last week. That being said, it was the first time she ever celebrated her birthday in the dead of summer. Yes, it is hot! The weather is very consistent here, so when it's hot... its that way for a while. On a cool day, it'll be around 35*C (95*F), but it has gotten all the way up to 42*C (107.6*F). Take in account that it is quite humid here, as well, and... well I'm sure you can imagine. It's funny, though, how the Lord has such a sense of humor in creating anticipation for the following season. Before summer was here, we couldn't wait. As summer has carried on into February, we are eager to see autumn approaching.

And we have been so eager to see this new season in our ministry unfold. Sunday morning service is taking flight, and we are seeing new faces each week. The Lord is showing us just how He builds His church. It is amazing that we have been here for 6 months now. It seems like time has just flown by, but looking back... we've had a chance to do so much. Tomorrow will be our 2nd school assembly. This time it is at the Primary (grades k-8) school that all of the farm kids that we minister to during the week attend. Its exciting! Please keep us in your thoughts and, most importantly, in your prayers.

And to add a quick praise report... our family will be moving in to our own place in less than 2 weeks. As the days go by, Paarl is really starting to feel more and more like home to us. Thank you for all of your prayers and financial support. We greatly appreciate it!
Take care & God bless <><
